Conoco / Phillips

From 2007 – 2009, E.Vironment assisted ConocoPhillips conduct Process Safety/Mechanical Integrity audits at all of their refineries worldwide. Two of E.Vironment's world-class Process Safety consultants plus an administrative assistant served on the ConocoPhillips team conducting these audits.

The FTC required Conoco to divest its Denver refinery and associated marketing & transportation, crude oil supply and retail assets prior to the announced merger with Phillips Petroleum. E.Vironment conducted the EHS due diligence for this divestiture and assisted Conoco answer questions of prospective buyers.

Anadarko Petroleum

E.Vironment facilitated development of an integrated EHS management system for the combined Anadarko/Kerr McGee/Western organization, following their merger. This included using our Pathfinder Matrix® process to work with the Executive Leadership Team on setting the future EHS direction for the company. We subsequently facilitated development of the implementation plan, gap analysis tool, and audit protocols.

E.Vironment supported the assessment and modification, where needed, of a regional EHS management system to ensure compliance with the requirements of recent BOEMRE regulations and API's Recommended Practice 75.

Enbridge Pipelines

In 2006 and 2007 E.Vironment conducted a comprehensive five-year review of the Environmental Management System (EMS) for Enbridge Liquid Pipelines business unit.  We also conducted compliance audits of nine operating facilities across three Canadian Provinces and several U.S. states and at eight Spearhead Pipeline facilities.

Lyondell

E.Vironment worked with Lyondell Chemical on restructuring their global EHS organization, following the acquisition of Millennium Chemicals. We co-facilitated this effort, working with HR and the EHS Leadership Team. This included providing benchmarking data on peers inside and outside the chemical industry, interviewing the company's senior executive management team, facilitating Team meetings and advising on EHS systems and behavioral improvements to achieve desired EHS performance.

E.Vironment provided lead auditor training for LyondellBasell in 2007 and 2008. This training includes these types of auditing disciplines: OE (Operational Excellence), Logistics, Internal Audit, and Quality (ISO 9000). In addition to the “hard” auditing skills, this training includes organizational skills such as conflict resolution.

Holly

E.Vironment conducted EHS audits at all of Holly's refineries, asphalt plants, trucking operations and pipeline assets across six states. We also worked with the EHS Performance Improvement Team to establish EHS goals for the company, interviewed the company's senior Leadership Team and drafted the EHS Management System framework.

Marathon Oil

In 2010 E.Vironment used our Pathfinder Matrix® process to work with the Executive Leadership Team on setting the future HES direction for the company.

From 2004 – 2009, E.Vironment assisted Marathon Oil manage its HES Management System (MS) Auditing Program. This included providing the Team Leader and at least one additional auditor on all MS audits, conducting auditor training for Marathon's guest auditors, and advising on overall Audit Program management. These audits are conducted around the world. E.Vironment has also led HES compliance audits at Marathon's U.S. facilities.

E.Vironment assisted Marathon Oil Company in developing their position on environmental liabilities in connection with the Company's buyout of Ashland's 38% interest in Marathon Ashland Petroleum. We worked closely with Marathon's Senior Management Team and the HES staff to evaluate the Company's potential environmental exposure and structure terms that allowed this deal to close despite a number of complex issues.

E.Vironment led the global redesign of Marathon Oil's HES organization, using our Pathfinder Matrix™. This process worked so well that the company used it as the conceptual model for transforming their entire upstream business.

Holly

Murphy Oil Corporation – Conducted EHS and security assessments in support of acquisition and divestiture activities related to refinery, pipeline and terminal assets.

Innovene

In late 2004, BP announced it planned to IPO the bulk of its chemicals division, including the Lavera, France and Grangemouth, UK refineries. The entity was named Innovene. For the next year E.Vironment worked with the Innovene HSSE Leadership Team on a major effort encompassing all areas of HSSE planning and performance for their chemical plants, refineries and related operations around the globe. This effort included due diligence, facilitating development and pilot testing of their global risk management process and their HSSE management system, and interviewing the Tier 1 Leadership Team. In 2006 Innovene was acquired by Ineos.

Lubrizol

E.Vironment managed the due diligence effort on Lubrizol's acquisition of Noveon. Subsequent to closing, we worked with the deal team as they considered divestment strategy. We helped to quickly get a handle on the EHS condition of the acquired assets and consider which assets might be divested and what the divestment strategy should be from the EHS perspective.

Atlantic Methanol Production Company

E.Vironment has been assisting AMPCO with the design and implementation of an integrated environmental, health and safety management system for their operations in Equatorial Guinea.  The assignment has included working with the company management team to develop work practices and procedures for effectively carrying out their desired requirements.  The integrated management system also includes aspects of mechanical integrity, process safety and employee competency assurance.

E.Vironment is assisting BP Alaska with the design and delivery of EHS auditing practices. Work includes conducting EHS auditor training and facilitating learning activities in the field during "live" audits.

E.Vironment has been providing auditors for BP audit teams conducting process safety audits at downstream and upstream operating facilities.

John Statzer was the lead trainer for the Safety and Operations (S&O) Auditor training conducted on a global basis throughout BP. The auditor training included specific focus areas of management systems, regulatory compliance and process safety. In addition, E.Vironment assisted the Refining and Marketing Segment in conducting auditor training specific to the refining and marketing operations.

EnCana

E.Vironment has been assisting the EnCana corporate office in conducting EHS management systems audits across the company. John Statzer assisted EnCana in designing the audit program when initially developed in 2003.

E.Vironment has also been assisting EnCana with the re-design and implementation of its corporate EHS management system. The system follows state-of-the-art framework design and implementation concepts that E.Vironment consultants have been developing for many years.   

Valero

E.Vironment led the implementation of Valero's Integrated Management System.

Sunoco

E.Vironment staff led development & implementation of Sunoco's Operating Excellence management system.

We asssisted major Sunoco Contracting companies with the evaluation and certification of their respective EHS management systems to meet certain EHS MS criteria established by Sunoco.

Cenovus

Assisted the Corporate EHS Group in auditing the company's EHS Management System, including participating on audit teams, conducting auditor training & leading EHS work process interpretation exercises.

Assisting Cenovus with the design and implementation of an Integrated Management System for driving improved performance and consistency in work activities across the company.

AT&T

Assisting AT&T with the design and execution of specific environmental work practices across the U.S. to improve consistency and delivery of desired outcomes.

BASF

For over ten years E.Vironment has assisted BASF with strategic air and waste permitting, planning, and implementation of requirements at the company's Texas facilities. We have successfully negotiated air permits that provide maximum operating flexibility while maintaining environmental protection.

OXEA

E.Vironment has partnered with OXEA Corporation since shortly after its inception to provide strategic waste permitting, planning and implementation of requirements for compliance.

Intermarine

E.Vironment facilitated development of an HSE management system, supporting documented work processes, and audit protocols.

DOE

E.Vironment was asked to prepare a paper addressing environmental management systems (EMS) for Secretary of Energy Steven Chu's National Petroleum Council's North American Resource Update project. Two of our consultants that are considered leading edge EMS thinkers wrote this paper entitled Environmental Management Systems - Key Issues on Design, Value & Implementation.

Intermarine

E.Vironment led a CHK Audit Leadership Team in developing the company's EHS Auditing Program and preparing audit protocols. We will train Guest Auditors and lead the Pilot Audits.

Chesapeake

E.Vironment has led corporate and District environmental audits at Kiewit facilities & projects across the U.S., conducted auditor training for Kiewit auditors and conducted reviews of District Vendors.
